The term AFA or Automatic Fire Alarm is a term used to describe a unique identifier used by fire authorities as a reference to the Alarm Signalling Equipment ("ASE") connected to the fire safety systems (Fire Detection & Alarm System or Automatic Fire Sprinkler System) in a building.
The AFA may also be referred to in other jurisdictions as the Alarm Signalling Equipment ("ASE") number.
