Fire Detection and Alarm System ("FDAS")

A Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) is an active electrical safety system designed to detect fire conditions, alert occupants, and initiate an emergency response. It integrates fire detection control and indicating equipment, fire detectors, and signaling devices to trigger ancillary control equipment, such as operating mechanical ventilation or recalling elevators, in accordance with a  systems interface matrix.
