A Safe Work Method Statement ("SWMS") is a documented and systematic methodology undertaken by workers to illustrate the step-by-step list of activities, hazard identified, risk control measures and responsibilities of workers necessary to carry out their work safely. A safe work method statement should be completed after a Job Hazard Analysis ("JHA") has been undertaken.
