Foam Solution

A foam solution is a combination of foam concentrate and water that, when mixed together and aerated with compressed air, produces foam.

A foam solution is used to extinguish fires by creating a thick layer of foam that covers the burning material, cutting off the supply of oxygen and preventing the fire from spreading. The effectiveness of the foam solution depends on the type of foam concentrate used, the proportion of foam concentrate to water, and the method of application.

Foam solutions are commonly used in fighting Class B fires involving flammable liquids and gases, as well as in situations where water alone may be ineffective, such as in fighting fires involving electrical equipment.
