ADT ASE Fault Status

The Centaur II, Alarm Signalling Equipment ("ASE") provided by ADT Fire Monitoring is a electronic device that is used to receive signals from a Fire Detection and Alarm System and transmit those signals to the fire brigade. The ASE has a number of status signals that flash on and off to indicate the status of the ASE.

Alarm Signalling Equipment Status Lights

ADT Centaur II ADT Fire Monitoring ASE Status LED Illustration

The Centaur II Alarm Signalling Equipment ("ASE") includes a number of light emitting diodes (LED"s) that can illuminated to display the status of the ASE for Fire Detection and Alarm System ("FDAS") to which it is connected.

There are THREE sections of the ASE that show the status as follows;

  1. on the left hand side the series of SIX LED's show the status of the Alarm Signalling Equipment itself;
  2. the top right hand side shows THREE LED's to show the status of the fire detection and alarm system;
  3. the bottom right hand side shows THREE LED's to show the ASE input status (ISOLATE or TEST mode) of the ASE.

Eth/Radio 2 - Fault

ADT ASE Radio 2 Fault

The Centaur II, Alarm Signalling Equipment ("ASE") provided by ADT Fire Monitoring is a electronic device that is used to receive signals from a Fire Detection and Alarm System ("FDAS") and transmit those signals to the fire brigade.

The ASE includes a number of status signals showing the status of the ASE itself as well as the status signals of the fire detection and alarm system which it is monitoring.  The ASE Status Lights are illuminated to show the condition of the ASE depending on its state.

Where the ETH/RADIO2 light is flashing as well as the FAULT light is flashing (on and off) it is an indication that the backup radio signal is not working and the operation of the ASE may be compromised.
