System

A system, as referred to in AS 1851:2012 (A1), is intended to mean an integrated assembly of components that function collectively to perform a specific fire safety function when installed and connected together. It does not refer to an individual item of equipment in isolation, but rather the complete arrangement—including pipework, wiring, control panels, detection devices, actuators, and discharge mechanisms—that operates as a coordinated whole.
