- Pressure Vessel
In fire safety, a pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gases or liquids at a pressure substantially different from the ambient pressure.
Pressure vessels are typically used in fire safety systems for purposes such as storing pressurised extinguishing agent or as a propellent used as part of a portable fire extinguisher or gaseous fire suppression system.
An accumulator tank is also a type of pressure vessel used in combination with a pressure maintenance pump (also known as a jacking pump or jockey pump).
