Nuisance Alarm

A nuisance alarm, also known as a false alarm or unwanted alarm, occurs when a fire detection system activates in the absence of an actual fire or combustion byproducts. These nuisance alarms are typically triggered by deceptive phenomena such as cooking fumes, steam, aerosols, dust, or insects.

While the system operates as designed, the activation is considered a nuisance due to the lack of real danger.
