A type of smoke detector or smoke alarm incorporating within the one mechanical housing a smoke sensor plus one or more additional sensors with all sensors separately monitored for the presence or absence of an output signal relating to fire development where the individual signal from both sensors is evaluated to determine when an alarm condition is reached.
