Jumper Valve

In respect to a fire hydrant valve or landing valve, a jumper valve is a replaceable component designed to control the flow of water by creating a seal within the valve body. It typically consists of a washer—commonly made of rubber, polymer, or leather—attached to a metal or plastic stem, which moves to regulate water flow when the valve is operated.
