A fire blanket is a flexible sheet of material, typically woven glass fibre that is intended to be used to extinguish or control of a small cooking fire or clothing fire by smothering. The standard of performance for the manufacture of a fire blanket is AS/NZS 3504:2006, Fire Blankets.
