- Evacuation
An evacuation is the orderly movement of people away from a place of danger. In certain circumstances, typically defined by an emergency planning committee, people are directed to move to a safe assembly area under the direction of a warden or an emergency control organisation.
An evacuation occurs when a condition within a building or structure poses a threat to the wellbeing, health and/or safety of the occupants of the building or structure and leaving is safer the safer option than continuing to remain inside of it.
