Australian Standard AS 4428 is a suite of standards that cover the requirements and performance criteria for control and indicating equipment used for fire detection, warning, control and intercom systems.  The Standrad is developed by Standards Committee FP-002. The suite of systems covered by AS 4428 includes the following;

  • Part 0: General requirements and test methods
  • Part 1: Control and indicating equipment (Fire)
  • Part 3: Fire Brigade Panel
  • Part 4: Emergency intercom control and indicating equipment
  • Part 5: Power Supply Units
  • Part 6: Alarm Signalling Equipment
  • Part 7: Air-handling fire mode control panel
  • Part 9: Requirements for wire-free alarm zone circuits
  • Part 16: Emergency warning control and indicating equipment
