Australian / New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3504 specifies the materials used and requirements for the manufacture of fire blankets. A fire blanket is a flexible sheet of material intended to be used to extinguish or control of a small cooking fire or clothing fire by smothering and is intended for use by a person. The minimum size of a fire blanket is 900mm wide by 900mm tall.
